Victoria Terminus, re-named Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus is the other railway terminus for the Central Railway lines.
Built in 1888 to commemorate Victoria Jubilee Day when the first steam engine puffed out to Thane, it is the piece de resistance of the British Raj. Its Gothic architecture features intricate and detailed stone friezes and buttresses. Modeled on the lines of the St Pancras Station in London, VT oversees around 2.5 million commuters everyday.
