Across the river, the main street that lies beyond, houses several shops and restaurants. We lunched at a small cafe on that street - this time the owner recommended a vinho verde from his own vineyard, and this we had with fried pescada & grilled frango. We'd decided to try the local preparation of cod here, but by dinner-time, the village supply of bacalhau was decimated, so we had some boiled vegetables and fish instead. Not particularly interesting. |
