Praia do Guincho
By the time we lunched (our first taste of the revered bacalhau), it
was well past two in the afternoon. Departing for Sintra in our newly
rented SEAT Toledo, we chose to go via the N-247, simply because it
would afford us some great views of the beaches that ran parallel to it.
The beach at Guincho is known for its huge breakers, and is an
absolute favourite with windsurfers. The wind was ferocious and the sea
