The busy Esplanade at Cascais is a very short stretch of road, paved with coloured stones. The castle-like building is the Hotel Albatroz. Turning the corner we walked past the main road which was full of restaurants and shops. The  Frederico Arouca Street off this road is a pedestrian-only road, from where we bought a slice of the most delicious 'Bola Noz', a soft delicious cake topped with crunchy walnuts.
