The ancient statue of Viana by the Rio Lima.
Tiring of sea-food we ventured to a pizzeria (Restaurante Tunel)
which by looks of it, was doing extremely brisk business. Earlier, the
manager at our hotel had advised us to eat (but naturally), bacalhau
- the Viana specialty for dinner, but never the pork ...' Why, we asked,
couldn't we eat the pork? 'Never pork in the night' he answered
disapprovingly.
Well, in any case, we were sorely disappointed with the pizzas. |
