Easter Monday, and most of the town was still shut down. We parked to the right of this church, (it turned out to be the historic Igreja de Sao Gonçalo, and set off on foot to find some accommodation for the night. After some stumbling conversation with a few shopkeepers, complete with expansive gesticulation & rolling eyes, we booked into Albergaria dona Margaritta. (Albergaria means 'Inn') on the Rua 5 de Outobro.
